You enter another empty hallway with swaying lantern above. In addition to books and strange baubles, another scroll on the wall catches your eye:

My familiar has gone missing. If you find her, alert me immediately or use discretion when handling. Also, the specimen lab key is with Master Larthan. ~Archivist

So Toasty is the archivist's familiar. You wonder what sort of creature she might be. Perhaps she's behind one of these doors. The specimen lab is locked.
